Artwork Preparation

Print files that come in ready save you time and save us corrections. Our prepress team checks everything before plates are made, though a clean file always moves faster.

• Send artwork in AI, PDF, EPS or PSD format
• Build files in CMYK color mode, with Pantone swatches named correctly for any spot colors
• Keep raster images at 300 DPI at final size
• Outline all fonts, or supply the font files with your package
• Add 1/8 inch bleed on all four sides and hold important text 1/8 inch inside the trim
• Place your artwork on our dieline template, keeping the dieline on its own locked layer
• Mark foil, spot UV and emboss areas as separate spot color layers set to overprint

Our prepress team review every file and comes back to you with a digital proof, a 3D mockup and a flat view so you can see exactly how the panels wrap around. Nothing goes to press until you approve.

Standard sizes cost less and ship sooner. Custom sizes cost slightly more at setup and they fit your product like it was made for it, which for gift packaging is usually worth the difference.
